The Strawberry Festival, or 'Festa Frawli', is a rather young event in Malta and more specifically in the small town of Mġarr. The Malta International Fireworks Festival, a delight for guests and citizens of the sunny island of Malta, was held for the seventeenth time this year. The very first festival was organized in May 2004 to commemorate Malta’s entry to the European Union. This tradition has strengthened since then, and every time spectators are surprised by something unusual.

On April 22 Mediterranean Conference Center in Malta hosted a unique event. For the first time, the music of Komitas – renowned Armenian priest and composer, who dedicated his life to the search, revival and transcription of folk songs – was heard in Sacra Infermeria Hall in Valletta.

The gifted children from “Culture and Art” Foundation of Armenia performed in the Parliament of Malta on April 25th. Meri Musinyan (canon), Gevorg Stepanyan (duduk) and Vahram Hovhannisyan (vocals) played Armenian folk songs.

Malta hosted the Armenian Cultural Days from April 18 to 30. The event was organized by the European Foundation for the Support of Culture endorsed by the Ministry for Justice, Culture and Local Government of Malta, the Culture Ministry of Armenia, Arts Council Malta and the Valletta-2018 Foundation.
